Day 125 - Mountain Dark & Red
Now the valley cried with anger,
"Mount your horses! Draw your sword!"
And they killed the mountain-people,
So they won their just reward.
Now they stood beside the treasure,
On the mountain, dark and red.
Turned the stone and looked beneath it…
"Peace on Earth" was all it said. - The Original Caste, One Tin Soldier
The song got wedged in my head last week when I overheard it at the Toronto airport. With word of more conflict in the Middle East between israel and Syria, the constant bellowing of North Korea, and the United States seeking another war to boost its economy (because that’s the only thing wars are good for), it seemed poignant.
This looks fine on paper, but the picture on my Playbook turns it into a muddled mess. Will rescan at home.
EDIT: Rescanned. Much better.
